last day on campus...

Yesterday was our last day on campus for this school year. How sad. It was very relaxing day and encouraging. We spent some time with our students by praying and sharing and eating together. When we were together I realized that there is two more people there then last year, Monika and Ivana our new sisters in Christ. I am so happy for them and also very encouraged to see how is God using them in our ministry. Very encouraging is also that all of our students involved want to go to summer mission trip. There are few options that they can go to. Jakub is going to USA summer project, and girls are probably going to Macedonia summer project not for sure but we would love for them to go. It just really reminds me of how I was a student and how I was every summer going to some kind of project. So I thank God that they are wanting to go to projects and want to serve God in different parts of the world. It is like in Acts 1:8. How they are going into the whole world and spreading the Gospel.

more then a carpenter..

I talked to one student this week (Kristina) and it was very encouraging to spend time with her. While ago I gave her few more then carpenter books, because she asked for them. So she was telling me how is God using those books in peoples lives. She had several friend that were not believers and she was praying for them and sharing Jesus with them. But they always had questions, so she decided to give them those books. I was surprised that they read them, but they did, and God showed them who He is thru those books. So we have some new sisters and brother in Christ. Praise God for that...

Women's weekend..

This weekend we went to a beautiful place Zdiar for womens weekend. I enjoyed it a lot and I am very thankful for everything that happened there. We had two talks there about identity in Christ and second one about Waiting. My favorite part was wellness night. Student girls prepared such a good time for us and we could just relax. And also place we went to was perfect for our time together. So thank God and thank to all the girls that came there...

It is not about me...

Ive got good lesson from God this week. He reminded me that I can not do anything without Him. And also that He does not need me or anybody else to make someone believe in Him. It really is a good reminder and eyes opening truth about God. It is just His big big mercy that He is choosing to use us for His purposes. I am so thankful that in such a big time of discouragement He is encouraging me with His truth and loving hand. I like this verse John 3: 27...

discipleship...

I am learning about discipleship a lot right now. I think it is hard for me to understand what it really is. So I think the best way how to find out what it is to look at examples of it in Bible. I found some passages about it- 2Tim. 2:2, Fil. 4:9, Acts 13:44-52, Acts 14:19-28. When I looked at it closely I could see that all of those verses point to one important thing. And I thing it is pointing to Paul and how he was doing discipleship. He was not just meeting with his disciples once a week for a lecture, but he was taking them everywhere with him, and also just allowing them to live with him, so discipleship was for him a life style looks like. And I like it. I wish I can do that too...

again by bus..

This week after long time I took bus back to Kosice from campus. Usually we as team go to Presov and from Presov by car. But anyway. It was kind of a good time for me to take bus. It definitely reminded me of good old times :)). Ivana my friend of mine took bus with me, and we had such a good time. I had opportunity to talk to her and get to know her little better. I was happy that I got to spent that time with her, and we could just hang out. other than that I met some new girls this week. One of them is Alzbeta. Me and Biba went to meet with her. It was pretty hard meeting. We talked about God and Jesus and faith and such, but her responses were not very clear or she didnt look very excited to talk about such things. I asked her after one hour if she likes to talk about spiritual things, and she said NO it is too personal for me. So when she said that I was wondering in my head why didnt she stopped us on the beginning?? But I think it was a good lesson for me to be more sensitive to how students respond or not respond. Well good to learn new things every day...

This week I had first meeting one on one with Ivana (one girl I started to meet with and just helping her grow in her faith). We were just talking about God and such things, and she said that she had this conversation about God with her friends. I was encouraged to hear that, because she is a christian not very long time, and I am very encouraged by her courage. Ivana said that she told her friends that faith is not about going to church, but about personal relationship with God, and little bit explained about how Jesus died on cross for our sin. But she told me that she didnt know how to continue and how to explain it well. So I told her that we are going to talk about it soon, so she can know how she can effectively share her faith. :)))
